Delores is an electric violinist/professional musician extraordinaire. She's charismatic and focuses on her audience. She's able to communicate her extraordinary music to the largest of crowds or the most intimate.

She is an exceptional jazz artist. She fuses jazz with blues, rhythm and blues, ballads, Latin, gospel, new age, funk, rock, and pop. She transcends all genres smoothly, confidently, and with wonderful surprises. And to top it all off, she has an extensive Classical repertoire.

Delores' music appeals to a wide variety of audiences with a mesmerizing, magnetic, sizzling, and unique style.

At the age of ten Delores was already playing the violin and accompanying choirs on the piano and organ. Some of the churches include St. Paul A.M.E. of Atlanta and True Light Baptist Church. Presently she is the violin soloist for Hillside Chapel and Truth Center in Atlanta, Georgia, where Dr. Barbara King is the founding minister and pastor.

Delores Major received her BA degree in music from Spelman College and an MA in Music Education from Georgia State University with honors. Delores has also had a successful teaching career with awards and honors as instructor and director for the Benjamin E. Mays-Frederick Douglass High School Honor Orchestra in Atlanta, Georgia.

She started her own business, Rhapsody Productions in 1987. She now performs full-time. This includes self-bookings, studio work, composition, arrangement, events, consulting, lectures, master classes (religious and jazz), and bookings for other musicians.

Delores was a 2005 nominee and featured performer for the Gospel Choice Awards. She is also a featured artist for many political, commercial, educational, television, and radio programs and periodicals.

She formed her own ensemble of musicians, Rhapsody Ensemble, in 1987 and in 1992 she formed her present band, Rhapsody Le Chic'. This versatile band has been featured at such events as; Centennial Park in Atlanta Wednesday Wind Down, sponsored by 104.1 FM Radio, Mabeline Efram (Divorce Court), and the Tupac Shakur Foundation.
